AIA FELLOWS

The elevation to a Fellow is conferred on architects with at least ten years of membership in the AIA who have made significant contributions in the following areas: the aesthetic, scientific, and practical efficiency of the profession; the standards of architectural education, training, and practice; the building industry through leadership in the AIA and other related professional organizations; advancement of living standards of people through an improved environment; and to society through significant public service.

Region Design Awards

Purpose of the Region Design Awards
The Regional Design Awards Program recognizes the great range from within the NW & Pacific region, the largest Region in the AIA, and the diversity of projects submitted.

The program is established, “To encourage excellence in architectural design and planning and to provide an avenue through which architects may gain recognition by their peers and the public. The ultimate goal is to raise the standards of architectural design excellence for both the architectural community and the public.”

Purpose of Medal of Honor Awards

The Medal of Honor is the highest honor presented by the Region, a medal and certificate will be presented to the recipient.

It is established to, “To recognize an individual member of the AIA Northwest and Pacific Region who has consistently demonstrated excellence in design, the practice of Architecture, Architectural education, or service to the profession, which has promoted public understanding of Architects and Architecture, and who has made notable contributions unique to this region.”
